Jefferson Family Dentistry offers top of the line orthodontic services. Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that can be for cosmetic reasons or to correct misaligned teeth or bite. Braces work to put teeth where they are supposed to be. Braces are used to help align teeth, correct someone’s bite, or just to make them feel more confident in their smile. Jefferson Family Dentistry will evaluate each patient, take x-rays, and look at the overall health of their mouth before making a recommendation for a treatment plan. 

A retainer is typically used to keep the teeth in their correct places after the removal of braces. Each retainer is custom made from a mold taken of the patient's mouth after braces are removed. This ensures that our patients can keep a straight, beautiful smile. Consistent retainer usage is critical to the after braces care. Retainers can also sometimes be used to correct a minor issue with your teeth. Jefferson Family Dentistry provides or refits retainers for all of our patients! 

Jefferson Family Dentistry also offers mouthguards. Sometimes called night guards, they protect your teeth against grinding, and tension in your jaw. Mouthguards are used only at night to provide a barrier between your teeth, protecting them from enamel wear down, or further damage.
